Andrea Gibbs serves as the Agriculture Extension Agent for Hyde County, NC. A unique and important part of her job is monitoring and addressing saltwater intrusion, and she currently leads several projects focused on salinity tracking and local adaptation. She partners with local government, NC State Extension specialists, other universities, and producers to deliver practical, research-based guidance that she hopes will strengthen agricultural resilience across Eastern North Carolina.
